Sea Serpent Chariot

For many children and adults who depend on wheelchairs, walkers, canes or other mobility devices, riding a carousel is impossible. Unless you are at the Silver Beach Carousel! Here the Sea Serpent Chariot, with its iridescent, ocean-blue scales and fiery eyes, fiercely dares anyone from saying carousels are off limits. 

Instead, our staff happily positions the portable ramp so you can walk or roll onto the deck and over to the chariot. There the Serpent wraps riders in its wings and they ride securely with their hearts soaring to the lively music and the breeze brushing their faces. Have your camera ready to capture their sparkling eyes and ear-to-ear grins. 

The Sea Serpent is one of several ways the Carousel welcomes handi-capable and sensory-sensitive riders. We also offer headphones and earplugs if you or your child are happier with a quieter spin around the Carousel House. Ask us about our other accommodations.
