RSVP for Your Choice of Carousel Experiences
The Silver Beach Carousel is a wonderful place to entertain your guests and take wedding photographs. It is privately owned as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) corporation. The Carousel receives no funding support from any public entity, including the City of St. Joseph. The fees for privately renting the Carousel or for taking photographs during a public ride help us cover the year-round operation and maintenance costs of our million-dollar attraction. Wedding photography is only permitted in the Carousel House when you book either a private rental or arrange a photo opportunity during a public ride.
Private Carousel Rental
One hour of unlimited rides: $700
Renting the Carousel exclusively for your use is the best way to give your wedding party and guests some of their happiest memories. During your reserved time, you may bring cocktails and appetizers into the Carousel House. Everyone can ride the Carousel as often as they’d like while listening to your playlist of favorite tunes or songs on our antique band organ. A rental is ideal for your guests to enjoy beverages and food and take special wedding photographs throughout the Carousel House. Many couples reserve the first 15 minutes of their rental for photographs on their favorite figures.
Photography during public hours
Cost: $200 payable in advance
During regular operating hours, you may take your professional or personal wedding photographs or videos in the Carousel House for a $200 fee. This includes the use of all cameras and mobile devices. You will be given priority boarding so you will have first choice of the 48 figures and two chariots. The fee includes one ride for the photographer/videographer and the wedding couple. Other wedding party or family members (limited to 20) may accompany the couple into the Carousel House and on the ride, but they will need to purchase additional tokens. To take photographs during a public ride, advance notice is preferred. When the wedding couple arrives at the agreed-upon time, the Carousel operator must be contacted.
